Finals Stress

"Finals are virtually synonymous with stress. The very idea of being tested on the bulk of material learned over the course of several months, with a score that heavily impacts one’s grade, can bring tension."

Here are some of my tips to help everyone be a little less stressed this week:

1. Prepare for your finals. If you know the material you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Give yourself enough time to study. The
earlier you start studying the better. Study with a group if that's helpful to you. If it's helpful! Pick a study group that you will actually study with, not just have a good time with.

2. Get enough sleep. And no, drinking caffeine does not make up for the lack of sleep! I know all of you caffeine junkies out there aren't going to listen, but it was worth a shot :) Don't pull all-nighters. Just because you're taking more time to study doesn't mean you'll do good if you're too tired to remember any of it.

3.Have breakfast. They call it the most important meal of the day for a reason, you know.

4. And most importantly pray and ask God to give you peace in your time of stress, and to help you retain the information that you have learned.  Remember all our wisdom comes form God. Ask that you would have a correct attitude toward your test and toward you grade when it's all over.

Good Luck!

  1. Yes, but if you usually drink caffeine you should not stop just for the day of the final. It will confuse your brain. Try to do everything the same as you usually do.
