Sandwich Anyone?

Here is my creation! I guess one could say that it fulfills number three on the list, but it's not exactly that hard to slap together a sandwich. Toast, mayo, cheese, lettuce, turkey, and tomatoes.

Homework... Revised

Homework, I Love You
by Kenn Nesbitt
Homework, I love you. I think that you’re great.
It’s wonderful fun when you keep me up late.
I think you’re the best when I’m totally stressed,
preparing and cramming all night for a test.
Homework, I love you. What more can I say?
I love to do hundreds of problems each day.
You boggle my mind and you make me go blind,
but still I’m ecstatic that you were assigned.
Homework, I love you. I tell you, it’s true.
There’s nothing more fun or exciting to do.
You’re never a chore, for it’s you I adore.
I wish that our teacher would hand you out more.
Homework, I love you. You thrill me inside.
I’m filled with emotions. I’m fit to be tied.
I cannot complain when you frazzle my brain.
Of course, that’s because I’m completely insane.

Amusement For All

Number two on the list can be officially checked off as of yesterday. The annual trip to Oaks Park has taken place. We went with a great group and it was loads of fun. We were thoroughly thrashed and tossed side to side and upside down as we screamed for our lives. Today we all have sore throats, sore backs, and sore everything elses! But we all enjoyed it... yesterday anyways.

Dress Up

Number six on the list was to get a big fancy dress. I finally got myself one, but with no occasion to wear it to I ended up returning it! It was still lovely while it lasted.

Summer List

Summer has officially come here at my house! So here's a list of things I think would be awesome to do during the summer. I guess I'll blog about it if I do any of these.

1. Have a picnic. Who doesn't love a classic checkered blanked and basket picnic? I think it'd be really fun!

2. Go to Oaks Park. Okay, I know that Oaks Park is not the most amazing amusement park on the planet, but it's a tradition for us to go each summer. Can't forsake that now.
3. Learn how to cook something new. I will master the art of cooking! :) Maybe I could convince one of my siblings to cook with me. The more the merrier!

4. Get a beautiful hat to wear     during the summer.

5. Learn how to play one song on the piano. I've learned to play the piano like a million years ago and I haven't been using any of my so-called skills. Wanna get back in the groove of playing something beautiful on the piano.

6. Wear a long and fancy dress.

7. Go to the beach for at least one day.

8. . . .

And So You Code...

I know nothing about writing code, but I really enjoyed this song :) Maybe you'll feel the pain of it...

The original song is Alors On Danse by Stromae, which I like better.

Finals Stress

"Finals are virtually synonymous with stress. The very idea of being tested on the bulk of material learned over the course of several months, with a score that heavily impacts one’s grade, can bring tension."

Here are some of my tips to help everyone be a little less stressed this week:

1. Prepare for your finals. If you know the material you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Give yourself enough time to study. The
earlier you start studying the better. Study with a group if that's helpful to you. If it's helpful! Pick a study group that you will actually study with, not just have a good time with.

2. Get enough sleep. And no, drinking caffeine does not make up for the lack of sleep! I know all of you caffeine junkies out there aren't going to listen, but it was worth a shot :) Don't pull all-nighters. Just because you're taking more time to study doesn't mean you'll do good if you're too tired to remember any of it.

3.Have breakfast. They call it the most important meal of the day for a reason, you know.

4. And most importantly pray and ask God to give you peace in your time of stress, and to help you retain the information that you have learned.  Remember all our wisdom comes form God. Ask that you would have a correct attitude toward your test and toward you grade when it's all over.

Good Luck!

Atop the Head

I love hats so much! I always find myself wishing it was the 1800s when people had a hat for every
outfit. If I could, I would wear a hat everyday!

So to make myself feel better I plan on getting a few hats that I can wear during the summer.
Maybe I'll get lucky and get one for my birthday...
<--- (I really like that one... hint, hint! ;D)
